light cube

The goal of project "light cube" was to learn about a range of different materials and how to combine them in a design object. I always liked the idea of merging textures and so I choose acrylic glass, Kömatex and cork carpet to build a lamp. Through the holes of the cork the light meets the acrylic glass and reveals a nice reflection. The matt texture of Kömatex gives the lamp a smooth finish on top and bottom of the lamp
